Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, pyridyl, etc.; X is halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, etc.; n is 0W5, etc.).
EXAMPLE: N-(5,5-Dichloro-4-pentenyl)-N-(2-isopropylphenyl)methane-sulfonamide.
USE: A germicide for agriculture and horticulture, especially exhibiting excellent action to rice blast.
PREPARATION: A sulfonanilide derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with a base (e.g., NaOH) to provide an alkali metal salt of sulfone anilide derivative, which is then reacted with 5,5-dichloro-4-pentenyl chloride to afford the compound expressed by formula I.
