Abstract:
To provide a solid compressed pellet of an organic material used as an evaporation source for forming an organic layer on an OLED (organic light emitting diode).
The solid compressed pellet of the organic material used as the evaporation source contains (a) a support member for enabling rotation of the pellet and/or passage of a cooling fluid and (b) a compressed solid core of the organic material molded on the surface of the support member.
