Title:
SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6386360
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a long life, stabilized fuel cell and to shorten a production process by forming a 1 mm or more thick oxygen electrode in the innermost layer of a cell and an interconnecting terminal and a fuel electrode in the outer most layer.

CONSTITUTION: An oxygen electrode 1 is mide of perovskite type oxide, and formed in a porous cynder, with Ti, Ca, Fe, or the like, so as to have a thick ness of 1 mm or more by compressing and baking. The electrode 1 having rigidity and 1 mm or more thickness is cylindrically covered with a solid electro lyte 2 and a fuel electrode 4. Grooves 6 having minimum width required for installing interconnecting terminals 3 and 5 are formed by etching or machining. Therefore, a production process is shortened, and a long life, stabilized fuel cell can be obtained.
