To provide a solid electrolyte that has relatively high lithium ion conductivity and can be sintered at low temperature.
A solid electrolyte of the present invention includes: a crystalline lithium ion conductive substance; and Li+x(B1-y,Ay)z+O2-δ (in the formula, A represents at least one or more kinds of elements selected from among C, Al, Si, Ga, Ge, In and Sn, y satisfies 0≤y<1, z represents an average valence of (B1-y,Ay), and x, y and δ satisfy a relational expression of x+z=δ/2.) as a base material. The lithium ion conductive substance is preferably a garnet-type oxide represented by a basic formula: Li5+xLa3ZrxA2-xO12 (in the formula, A represents one kind or more of elements selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Y, Nb, Hf, Ta, Al, Si, Ga and Ge, and x satisfies 1.4≤x<2).
