Abstract:
To provide a lead-free solid lubricant which exerts a sliding property equivalent to or higher than that of a lead-containing solid lubricant under a high-load condition and to provide a slide member.
The solid lubricant is intended to be filled in a pore or groove formed on a sliding surface of a slide member substrate and is characterized by comprising 10-40 wt.% of one or more kinds of waxes selected from a hydrocarbon-based wax, a higher fatty acid, a higher fatty acid ester and a higher fatty acid amide, 20-50 wt.% of barium sulfate and the balance of a tetrafluoroethylene resin.
