To provide a solid oxide fuel cell in which reoxidation of a substrate tube can be prevented even when the substrate tube is directly exposed to oxygen, and also in which the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between the substrate tube and each power generation element is reduced and generation of leakage current at high temperatures can be suppressed.
A solid oxide fuel cell includes: a substrate tube; a plurality of power generation elements formed by stacking a fuel electrode, an electrolyte and an air electrode on the substrate tube and arranged along the axial direction of the substrate tube; and an interconnector connecting the power generation elements adjacent each other. The substrate tube contains at least SrZrO3 as a main constituent.
