Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid powder-type cosmetic having dry touch and good spreadability while exhibiting wettish-colored appearance by combining a specific poly(dimethylsiloxane) with a specific powder.
SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by incorporating a high-viscosity poly(dimethylsiloxane) with hydrocarbon wax. It is preferable that the high- viscosity poly(dimethylsiloxane) is a compound expressed by the formula [(n) is an integer of ≥1], its viscosity is ≥3000cs, esp. 3000 to 8000cs and its content of this cosmetic is 1.0 to 15wt.%. Ceresin, microcrystalline wax, solid paraffin, etc., can be cited as hydrocarbon wax and ceresin is the most suitable among these sorts of wax in terms of showing no stickiness. It is preferable that the hydrocarbon wax content of this cosmetic is 0.1 to 4wt.%. This cosmetic has good make-up sustainability and exhibits no whitish-colored appearance relative to its coated color.
