Abstract:
To provide a method of interrogating an acoustic wave sensor.SOLUTION: A method of interrogating an acoustic wave sensor comprises: transmitting, by an interrogator, an interrogation radio frequency signal to the acoustic wave sensor by a transmission antenna; receiving, by the interrogator, a response radio frequency signal from the acoustic wave sensor by a reception antenna; processing, by processing means of the interrogator, the received response radio frequency signal to acquire in-phase and quadrature components both in a time domain and a frequency domain; determining, by the processing means, perturbations of the acquired in-phase and quadrature components both in the time domain and the frequency domain; and determining a value of a measurand on the basis of the perturbations detected by the processing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
