Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled medicament containing aminobenzoic acid derivatives having a specific monosaccharide residue, effective for prophylaxis and remedy for complications caused by accumulation of sorbitol in diabetes with an extremely low toxicity and free from a tetragenic action, allergic action, etc.

CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of aminobenzoic acid derivatives expressed by the formula (R1 represents monosaccharide residue) or salt thereof (example; Na salt of o-aminobenzoic acid-N-D-galactoside, etc.) is mixed with both magnesium stearate and lactose and then granulated with a dry-granulater, etc., to obtain the aimed medicament. As for the monosaccharide in the formula, arabinose, xylose, glucose, galactose, fructose, mannose, rhamnose, etc., are cited.
