PURPOSE: To improve operability for dealing with jamming by supporting a second housing having a plurality of receiving bins to make contact with or separate from a sheet tansferring means of a first housing on the upper or side portion thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A first housing 30 is supported pivotably about a pin through a hinge 35 fixed to a back plate 31 and a hinge 27 of a base plate 25 bixed to a copier 16. Thus, a sheet discharging portion of the copier body 16 and a portion of a guide groove 20 of a sorter are openable. Also a second housing 60 mounting a receiving bin 70 is supported pivotably upward about a horizontal shaft 63 inseted into holes 37, 37 in an upper cylindrical portion 62 of a side plate 61, a back plate 31 and a front plate 32, and the lower end of a normal bottom plate 64 side portion bears against a bottom plate 34 of the first housing 30. Also, the receiving bin 70 is arranged parallel to and on the second housing 60. Thus, when the second housing is lifted, it is pivoted up ward to open a sheet transferring path, i.e. expose a transfer means 40 and a deflecting means 50 for facilitating the treatment of jamming.
