To provide a sorting system for mapping out delivery routes which sorts materials to be delivered such as postal matter by reading the address code such as the postal code given to them and maps out the delivery routes so as to reduce the processing frequency and processing time, and to save labor, and the like.

There are provided a computer (CPU 113, a memory part 114, an operation part 117, a display of an operating condition 116, a data producing part for mapping up delivery routes 115, an output part of mapping out delivery routs 118) for dividing materials to be delivered and a sorter (a supply and delivery part for materials to be delivered 112, a reading part of address codes 111, a sorting mechanism part 120, a sorting and mapping out part 102 containing sorting boxes 121). The address codes are read by providing the reading part 111 with the above sorter to read the address codes given to the materials to be delivered and also are mapped out for each charge sorting based on the read data. In the course of processing data by the computer, data for mapping out delivery routes are produced by using the address codes read by the above sorter and the above data for mapping out delivery routes are outputted as the correspondence listing to the accumulation order at the time of delivery sorting for each charge of the above delivery.
