PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof sash which satisfies the requirement "T-2" in JIS depending on closing of a shoji screen by a crescent fastener to lock sliding doors thereof, has a simple structure and needs little adjustment at job sites.
SOLUTION: This soundproof sash is provided with a cover material 30 extending to a stile part where the inner and outer shoji screens meet, a lower airtight block 40 arranged on the cover material 30 to ensure the airtightness of the indoor from the outdoor, an upper airtight block 60 provided on the upper part of the meeting stile of the outer and inner shoji screens to ensure airtightness at the upper sash frame between the indoor and the outdoor. The soundproof sash is airtightly sealed with fin tight materials ensuring the airtightness of areas between the indoor side from the outer left rail of the outer shoji screen 20 and the vertical sash frame, between the indoor side from the inner right rail of the inner shoji screen 10 and the vertical sash frame, between the meeting stile part of inner and outer shoji screens 10 and 20, between the indoor side of the lower stile of the outer shoji screen and the cover material 30, between the lower indoor side of the lower stile of the inner shoji screen 10 and the indoor side rising wall of the lower sash frame, between the upper stile of the outer shoji screen 20 and the upper part of the outer rail and between the upper stile of the inner shoji screen 10 and the upper part of the inner rail.
