PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a yard space by providing two-line paralleled moving racks the frontages of which are narrower than those of fixed racks between the paralleled fixed racks so that respective moving racks can be connected to a conveying device for steel-tape coils.

CONSTITUTION: A conveying device 3 is placed at the (a) point to put in and out coils between the C portion of a fixed rack 1b and a moving rack 2a. Next, the conveying device 3 is moved to the (f) point through a rail 5 and connected to the moving rack 2a, and then the moving rack 2a is pushed into the (e) point to put in and out coils at the H portion of the fixed rack 1a. Next, the conveying device 3 is moved to the (e) point and the moving rack 2a is moved to (f) point to put in and out the same between the K portion of the fixed rack 1a and the moving rack 2b. Finally, the conveying device 3 is moved to the (l) point and the moving rack 2b is moved to the (a) point to put in and out coils at the M portion of the fixed rack 1b. In this way, it is possible to improve the efficiency of a space.
