Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the abnormal orientation of liquid crystal molecules and to improve a powder flow property and water dispersibility by forming two layers having the surface tension smaller than the surface tension of solid particulates and the surface tension larger than the surface tension on the surfaces of the solid particulates in such a manner that the respective layers are exposed on the surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: The first layers 1 having the surface tension smaller than the surface tension of the solid particulates 3 and the second layers 2 having the surface tension larger than the surface tension of the solid particulates 3 are formed on the surfaces of the solid particulates 3. These layers 1, 2 are formed by treating the surfaces of the solid particulates 3 with polymers, such as silane based compds., org. titanate compds. and adhesive resins, and aluminum compds. Consequently, the solid particulates 3 eventually have the first layers 1 and second layers 2 respectively co-existing on their surfaces. The first layers 1 and the second layers 2 are formed on the surfaces of the solid particulates 3 so as to be respectively exposed on the surfaces. In such a case, the ratio of the exposing areas of the first layers 1 and the second layers 2 is arbitrarily changeable by changing the treating conditions.
