PURPOSE: To enable to reduce the vibrations of a main body of a printer to be generated when a carrier is moved, by providing an additional movable part which has the same weight as that of the carrier and is moved in the opposite direction to the moving direction of the carrier in conjunction with the movement of the carrier.

CONSTITUTION: An additional movable part 6 having the same weight as that of a carrier 1 is fitted to an intermediate part of a loop form wire 5 on the opposite side of the carrier 1. A motor 2 is rotated forward or reversely, whereby a force is exerted on a pulley 3 to move the carrier 1 rightward or leftward through the wire 5. With the additional movable part 6 having the same weight as that of the carrier 1 being provided, a force for moving the main body of a printer arising from the reaction to the moving force of the carrier 1 is canceled, so that no force is exerted on the main body of the printer. Accordingly, the main body is not moved, can be prevented from being vibrated, and reliability of printing can be enhanced.
