Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal light valve of a small size which is low in a yield in spite of an increase in the number of pixels accompanying higher image quality and eventually to provide a projector of a small size.
SOLUTION: This element is so formed that a scan mirror 1 rotates at a high speed to successively display respective line groups 103, 104 and 105, by which the respective colors allocated to the respective line groups are mingled with each other and are recognized as color images by the human eyes. Also, the light valves not shown in Figure have image regions forming the image light reflected by the scan mirror 1. The image forming regions are formed by as much as the line components reflected by the scan mirror 1.
