Title:
SPECTACLE FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07318868
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a spectacle frame which facilitates attaching and detaching of lenses and prevents dislodgment of the lenses from rims.

CONSTITUTION: The rims 2 holding the lenses 1 are disconnected in outside positions and both ends of V-shaped mitres 5 for connecting temples are connected to both ends 3, 4 of the disconnecting parts. These mitres 5 consist of a shape memory alloy and have a shape nearly closed at both ends in the memory state thereof. The rims 2 are reduced in diameters and are fitted into grooves 7 when both ends of the mitres 5 are pushed to open above and below and the mitres 5 are released after the outer peripheries of the lenses 1 are placed along the rims 2. Further, the rims 2 tend to be reduced in the diameters and, therefore, the tightening force acts on the lenses 1 and the lenses 1 are stably held at the rims 2. The rims 2 are expanded in the diameters and the tightening force of the rims 2 by the lenses 1 is released when both ends of the mitres 5 are pushed to open above and below in the state of mounting the lens 1. The lenes 1 are thus removable.
