CONSTITUTION: This speed sensor 1 is provided with fluid for controlling the movement of a movable member 6, a cylinder 7 for ensuring the moving route of the member 6 at the time of crush, and a set of electric contact pieces 14, 15 which operates in cooperation with the member 6 for showing crush. If an automobile has a collision accident, the member 6 is moved by inertia force in the direction of contact pieces 14, 15 with the cylinder 7. The movement of the member 6 is restricted by the fluid in the sensor 1. If the member 6 comes into collision with the contact piece 14, it collides with the contact piece. By this collision, an electric signal is transmitted to an output terminal pins 19 and 20, and when the transmission of the signal is continued for a sufficient duration, air bag inflation occurs. The container 2 is of sealing type and is always kept in a constantly operating condition without causing water or gas to flow in/out.
