To provide a spin dryer performing an operation for reducing vibration of a spin-dry tub.
A spin dryer comprises: a drive unit rotationally driving a spin-dry tub containing clothing; a sensor element outputting vibration data about vibration of the spin-dry tub; and a control unit controlling the drive unit based on the vibration data. The drive unit outputs speed data about a rotation speed of the spin-dry tub to the control unit. The control unit comprises: a storage unit storing a stop threshold value determined in accordance with the rotation speed of the spin-dry tub; a removal unit removing noise contained in the vibration data and generating comparison data used for comparison with the stop threshold value; and a determination unit comparing the stop threshold value and the comparison data to determine whether the spin-dry tub is stopped or not.
