Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide coolant feed structure that can apply a coolant through type rotary tool while being simple and compact in a spindle device with built-in planetary accelerating mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: A coolant feed path 20 is extended in a driven shaft 2, over the whole length, and the driven shaft 2 is extended to the base end side of a driving shaft 1 through the through hole 4 of the driving shaft 1. Liquid coolant from a coolant supply source T flows over the whole internal length of the driven shaft 2 directly from a rotary joint 25 so as to efficiently cool a support bearing 11 and planetary accelerating mechanism 3 that are the heating parts of the driven shaft 2 rotated at high speed. There is therefore no generation of liquid coolant leakage to the inside of a spindle device, and coolant through structure of feeding liquid coolant also to a rotary tool 16 can be adopted.
