Abstract:
To provide a spindle device which can lock rotation of a spindle without causing damage to the spindle.SOLUTION: A spindle device 100 includes a housing 2 and a rotary shaft 1 disposed within the housing 2. One or more openings 1d are disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 1. The housing 2 includes brake parts 17 and lock parts 9. Each brake part 17 has a contact member 17a which may contact with the rotary shaft 1. Each lock part 9 has a fixing member (9a) which may be disposed within each of the one or more openings 1d. The lock part 9 is provided so as to switch its state between a first state where the fixing member (9a) is disposed at the outside of each of the one or more openings 1d and a second state where the fixing member (9a) is disposed at the inside of each of the one or more openings 1d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
