Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid any deficiencies of a product caused by the fluctuation of the gap between a die and a work roller during the forming operation. SOLUTION: A black paint is applied to rotating metal surfaces of a die 1 and a work roller 4, the temperature of the parts to which the black paint is applied is measured in a non-contact manner by radiation thermometers 5, 6, the locus data of the work roller 4 is automatically corrected by a control part 8 based on the measured value, and the work roller 4 is driven by the corrected locus data. The fluctuation of the gap between the die 1 and the work roller 4 in the forming operation is automatically corrected. The correction work is unnecessary, and the productivity is improved through the automation. The quality of the product is improved, defects are reduced in number, the product becomes relatively inexpensive, and no large installation space is required. Generally, the temperature of a mirror surface such as the surface of the die can not be correctly measured by a radiation thermometer, but the temperature of the parts with the black paint applied thereto can be correctly measured.
