Title:
SPIRAL GROOVE MEASURING INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2935211
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the relation between the position of an object to be measured and the deflection of the object, in its axial direction.
CONSTITUTION: While the measuring ball 38 of a probe 36 is brought into contact with the spiral groove 40 of a threaded shaft 14, the shaft 14 is rotated by means of a motor 26. A laser length measuring instrument 72 detects the movement of the ball 38 in the axial direction of the shaft 14 by receiving reflected light from a light reflecting section 74 provided on a detecting shaft 37 and the distance calculating section 88 of an arithmetic device 70 finds the moving amount of the ball 38 from the detecting signal of the instrument 72. The displacement calculating section 90 of the device 70 finds the displaced amount of the ball 38 in the radial direction of the shaft 14 from the output signal of a linear encoder 34. A pitch calculating section 96 calculates the pitch of the spiral groove 40 from the rotational amount of the shaft 14 found by a rotational angle calculating section 94 based on the output of a rotational angle detector 28 and the moving amount of the ball 38 found by the distance calculating section 88. A deflection calculating section 98, in addition, finds the deflection of the shaft 14 at an arbitrary position in the axial direction of the shaft based on the outputs of the calculating sections 88 and 90.
