Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve retaining force in a joint portion of split pieces, to prevent generation of a strange noise, and to realize a reduced noise.
SOLUTION: A retainer split pieces 1 comprises: band like split piece bodies 2 for holding rolling members; and a protruding first joint portion 3 placed longitudinally at on one end 2a of the split piece body 2; and a recessed second joint portion 4 placed longitudinally at the other end 2b thereof. The first joint portion 3 is provided with a retaining portion 9 having a width larger than an end base portion 8, at a leading end of the end base portion 8 which is formed outwardly to protrude outside from the longitudinal one end 2a of the split body 2. The second joint portion 4 is formed to be a recessed portion having the same shape as the first joint portion 3. A plurality of the retainer split pieces 1 are jointed by engagement of the protruding portions with the recessed portions to form the ball-and-roller bearing in the annular shape. The first joint portion 3 is formed such that an angle formed by the retaining rear end portion 9d with an end portion 8a in a width direction of the end base portion 8 is acute one.
