To provide the spreading-over method of a carpet, by which the easy fraying of the edges of the carpet, the difficulty of the spreading-over operation of the curled carpet, and the easy peeling of the fixed carpet in a conventional method of bonding construction and the trouble of the dangerousness of an upward pin and the trouble of entanglement of an underlay material in a conventional method of gripper construction are solved at a stretch.
Pinless grippers G are nailed and fixed onto an object surface while forming slight clearances S from the periphery or partition of the object surface along the periphery or partition of the object surface. An underlay material U is laid on the object surface surrounded by the pinless grippers G. A carpet C cut in a size slightly larger than the shape of the object surface is laid from the upper section of the underlay material U. The edge side of the carpet C is bonded and fastened onto the pinless grippers G through an adhesive A. The edge of the carpet C is pushed into the above-mentioned clearances S.
