Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the vibration isolating performance by furnishing an aux. spring device having a plurality of aux. springs between a piston part and cylinder part, adjusting the weights of a main spring and mounting plates, and making constant the load vs. displacement relationship in this spring device.
CONSTITUTION: A spring device 1 for a vibration isolator includes a main spring 4 installed between a movable side metal fixture 2 situated upper and a stationary side metal fixture 3 situated lower, a cylinder part 8 coupled with the lower metal fixture 3, and an aux. spring device 20 installed at the end of an actuating shaft 6 for this cylinder part. The main spring 4 is located between an upper mounting plate 12 and a lower mounting plate 15, and the cylinder part 8 is mounted on this lower mounting plate 15. The actuating shaft 6 is coupled with the upper metal fixture 2, and the aux. spring device 20 is installed inside of the cylinder part 8 in the position with a piston 7 at the bottom of the actuating shaft 6. The aux. spring device 20 is composed of a plurality of aux. springs 21 positioned between the piston part 7 and cylinder part 8, wherein the total spring constant of the aux. springs 21 shall be identical to the spring constant of the main spring 4. Accordingly the weights of the main spring 4 and mounting plates 16 are adjustable with the aux. springs 21, and thus the vibration isolating performance can be enhanced.
