Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear unit capable of reducing cost while securing the oil tightness without impairing the easiness of assembling a bearing lid.SOLUTION: A gear unit 105 comprises: a gear box 1 accommodating a gear 4 and a bearing 5 on the gear side; an oil shield component 6 on the gear side that is fitted to an axis of rotation and disposed on the axially outside of the bearing 5 on the gear side; and a bearing lid 3 on the gear side that is mounted on the gear box 1 to surround the periphery of the oil shield component 6 on the gear side and hold an outer ring 5a of the bearing 5 on the gear side. The oil shield component 6 on the gear side includes a plurality of lips 6a provided spaced apart in an axial direction, the bearing lid 3 on the gear side includes a plurality of lips 3a, and a first lip 6a1 disposed on the side of the bearing 5 on the gear side is deformed so that its external diameter before the centrifugal force is generated is smaller than the inner diameter of the outer ring 5a and its external diameter after the centrifugal force is generated is larger than the inner diameter of the outer ring 5a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
