Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce air resistance by suppressing a flow of air passing between a short-circuit ring and a rotor core.SOLUTION: A squirrel-cage rotary electric machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor includes: a rotor shaft 11; a rotor core 12 that is fixed on the rotor shaft 11 and includes a laminated plate; a plurality of conductor bars 13 that are provided close to a surface in the radial direction of the rotor core 12 and are disposed in the circumferential direction apart from each other; two annular short-circuit rings 14 electrically connected to all of ends of the plurality of conductor bars 13; and a holding ring 51 provided on the outside in the radial direction of each of the short-circuit rings 14 so that the holding ring 51 is in contact with each short-circuit ring. The stator includes: a stator core 31; and an armature winding 32. The holding ring 51 extends in the shaft direction to an end of the rotor core 12 so as to cover a passage in the radial direction among the rotor core 12, the short-circuit ring 14, and the conductor bar 13.
