PURPOSE: To obtain a stabilized polymer composition capable of preventing the removal and/or movement of a stabilizer under polymerizing and working and/or using conditions of the polymer by mixing an effective quantity of a granular quartz filler having a specified stabilizer residue to the polymer.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing and containing, in a polymer, an effective quantity of a stabilized filler consisting of a granular quartz carrier having a stabilizer residue represented by the formula I {(n) is 0 or 1; X is a valence bond or groups of the formulae II-IV [R', R" are lower alkyl, (alkyl)aryl, arylalkyl, or cycloalkyl]; Y is -O-, -COO-, -CO-NH-, -NH-COO-, -NH-CSO-, -CO-, -S-, -NH-; A is a divalent residue consisting of (cyclo)alkylene, arylene, alkylphenylene, or the combination of one or more methylene and one or more cycloalkylene and/or arylene; Z is a residue of phenolic, amino aromatic antioxidant molecule}, which is obtained by grafting a stabilizer and, as occasion demands, a binder to a quartz material containing, for example, a plurality of silanol groups and having preferably a specific surface area (BET method) of 25 m2/g or more, an average grain size of 15-50 nm.
