Title:
STABLE BUTADIENE POLYMER LATEX
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3151050
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a stable latex of an emulsion-polymerized butadiene polymer which is useful for adhesives and avoids harmful side effects accompanying with latices based on the conventional surfactants.
CONSTITUTION: The butadiene polymer can be a butadiene homopolymer, a copolymer or a terpolymer prepared from butadiene monomer and optional comonomers such as α-haloacrylonitrile and acrylic acid. The butadiene polymer latex can effectively be used in adhesive compositions without accompanying any problem of solidifying and without using volatile solvents. Adhesives prepared from the butadiene polymer latex solve problems of side-effects accompanying with polymers prepared through an emulsion polymerization method by using conventional surfactants.
