Abstract:

To provide a method of determining a start segment having a periodic characteristic curve and a rotational angle sensor.

A sudden change of a characteristic curve (8) is generated between adjacent segments (S) in a periodic characteristic curve (5) having a lot of segments limited by a minimum segment (SNmin) and a maximum segment (SNmax), the range of which is measured by the rotational angle sensor (2). a start segment (S) of the rotational angle sensor (2) is determined as follows. A sensor signal (7) is read in an evaluation unit (4), the sudden change of + to -, i.e. (a-d) is measured, and a numerical number (Z) is generated when it is specified. A maximum valid segment (SNplmax) is calculated from a maximum segment number and a maximum number (Zmax) since initialization, and a minimum valid start segment (SNplmin) is calculated from a minimum segment number and a minimum number (Zmin) since initialization. When they are equal, the start segment is determined.
