Abstract:
To raise energy efficiency, concerning a motor starter.
A motor starter, which has a main winding and a sub winding, is equipped with a first positive characteristic thermistor, a semiconductor switch which is connected in series with the first positive characteristic thermistor, a second positive characteristic thermistor 106 which switches on or switches off the semiconductor switch, being connected in parallel with the first positive characteristic thermistor and the semiconductor switch, and a case 111 which houses the second characteristic thermistor 106. At least one part of the case 111 is provided with a heat-insulating layer and power consumption of the starter is reduced.
