Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for recovering diene monomers, especially ethylidene norbornene, from an ethylene-propylene-diene monomer(EPDM) resin by steam purging the resin.
CONSTITUTION: In a process for substantially removing and recovering an unreacted diene monomer from an ethylene-propylene-diene monomer resin produced in a fluidized bed reactor, the resin is introduced into a purging zone at a temperature higher than that of the steam in the zone to be purged with the steam.
