Abstract:
To provide a steamer capable of ejecting steam even when power feeding from AC source is unintentionally interrupted for some reason, on a continuing basis from the time with power feeding.SOLUTION: A steamer main unit comprises an electromagnetic pump 24 which supplies water stored in a tank assembly to a vaporization chamber, such that the water in the tank assembly is vaporized in the vaporization chamber heated by a heater 6 to be ejected as steam to the outside, an electric double-layer capacitor 45 which supplies electric power to the electromagnetic pump 24, a power feeding plug with a power source cord for feeding power to the steamer main unit, a microcomputer 66 for controlling the electromagnetic pump 24, and a zero-cross circuit 71 for detecting presence/absence of power feeding to the steamer main unit. When the zero-cross circuit 71 detects absence of power feeding to the steamer main unit during driving of the electromagnetic pump 24, the microcomputer 66 controls the electromagnetic pump 24 to be continuously driven with the electric power from the electric double-layer capacitor 45.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
