Abstract:
To provide a steel material for an oil tank, which has excellent corrosion resistance without being painted or being electrolytically protected.
(1) The steel material for the oil tank comprises 0.01-0.30 mass% C (hereafter, expressed in %), 0.01-2.0% Si, 0.01-2.0% Mn, 0.005-0.10% Al, 0.001-0.10% Zn and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities. (2) The steel material for the oil tank further comprises one or more of 0.01-5.0% Cu, 0.01-5.0% Ni, 0.01-5.0% Cr and 0.005-0.20% Ti. (3) The steel material for the oil tank still further comprises 0.0005-0.015% Ca.
