Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a steel panel reinforcing sheet having damping capacity reduced in wt. in itself and enhanced in a cost/performance ratio by successively laminating a restriction layer, a viscoelastic layer having specific physical properties and a thermosetting resin layer in this order.
CONSTITUTION: A steel panel damping reinforcing sheet is obtained by laminating a restriction layer, a viscoelastic layer and a thermosetting resin layer in this order and the loss tangent of the viscoelastic layer has a value of 0.8 or more at -20-80°C. The restriction layer composed of glass cloth, a carbon fiber, an org. fiber nonwoven fabric or a metal foil and the thermosetting resin layer is composed of an epoxy resin, an acrylic resin or a rubbery resin. The viscoelastic layer is formed from a compsn. prepared by compounding and mixing a tackifier, a softener, a filler, an age resistor with a resin to disperse them in the resin.
