PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for containers which is excellent in corrosion resistance after film sticking and corrosion resistance after coating.SOLUTION: A steel sheet for containers includes a plated steel sheet having a plating layer containing a Sn layer in at least a part of the surface of the steel sheet and a coating arranged on the plating layer-side surface of the plated steel sheet. The coating contains Ti; the adhesion amount, converted to Ti, per one side of the plated steel sheet is 1.0 mg/mor greater and smaller than 60.0 mg/m; the A value, defined by a specified expression (1), is 30 or smaller; and the atomic ratio (F/Ti) of F to Ti in the outermost surface of the coating is higher than 0.00 and lower than 0.10. The state ratio (OH/MO) of O in the coating is preferably lower than 0.70.
