Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding material applied with surface treatment capable of forming a film without roughening the surface of the material of low facial roughness and imparting excellent wear characteristics.
SOLUTION: As to this steel sliding member, the surface is coated with an inorganic composite film of 0.3 to 3 g/m2 coating weight per unit area at least contg. iron phosphate and moreover the oxide of molybdenum and/or tungsten, the content of molybdenum and/or tungsten in the inorganic composite film lies in the range of 1 to 20 wt.%, and the roughness of the outermost surface thereof is ≤2 μm by Rz.
