To overcome a problem found in the prior art device wherein a steering wheel is substantially influenced by irregular surfaces of a planting field under a straight-forwarding motion in the prior art device and its straightforwarding motion cannot be performed well irrespective of a well-known fact that a transmitted wave from a transmitter installed at a target position is received by a receiver in a planting machine or the like, and a steering control means controls a steering means in response to the received state to cause the machine to move straightforward toward the target position, and further to enable the machine to be controlled for its straightforwarding motion under a state in which the steering wheel is scarcely influenced by the irregular surface of the field under the straightforwarding motion.
This paddy field operating machine has an automatic running means automatically running under an operation in which a steering control means controls a steering means. When the machine runs straight during its automatic running operation, the automatic straight running control means controls the steering means and the steering wheel is repetitively operated within a minute range.
