Abstract:
To provide a steering device which enables downsizing while allowing precession movement.SOLUTION: A steering device 100 includes: a steering mechanism 90 which rotates a steering wheel 1 of a vehicle around a steering shaft; and a power source 20 which applies driving force for steering the steering wheel 1 to the steering mechanism 90. The steering mechanism 90 includes: an input shaft 11 connected to the power source 20; a strut shaft 8 (an output shaft) connected to the steering wheel 1; an elastic body 50 disposed between the strut shaft 8 and a piston rod 101 of a shock absorber 10; and a universal joint 9 disposed between the input shaft 11 and the strut shaft 8. The elastic body 50 and the universal joint 9 are disposed on the same plane intersecting with a steering shaft axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
