Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure vehicle steering stability and steering response by controlling the rigidity of a steering system.
CONSTITUTION: By variably-controlling rigidity between a column coupling 3 which transmits the rotation of a steering wheel 1 formed out of a variable rigidity elastic element and an insulator 11 formed out of the variable rigidity elastic element which secures a rack housing 10 for supporting a rack shaft 6 which converts its rotation into straight movement to steer wheels 9 onto a vehicle body as the rigidity value of a steering system.
