Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear of an outboard motor that has a simple constitution and the reduced number of part items, improves workability such as assembling (mounting), maintenance, attaching/detaching of components, prevents space loss of a hull, eliminates leaking possibility of operating fluid from a hydraulic hose or an adapter by dispensing with the hydraulic hose or the adapter to be disposed in the hull, and can improve reliability.
SOLUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 40 for turning a swivel shaft 50 as a turning shaft of the outboard motor 10, a hydraulic pump 62 for supplying oil pressure to the hydraulic cylinder 40, a hydraulic circuit 64 for connecting the hydraulic cylinder 40 to the hydraulic pump 62, and an electric motor 66 for driving the hydraulic pump 62 are integrated to form a unit 68. The unit 68 is built in the outboard motor 10, further specifically, in a swivel case 12.
