Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear for a vehicle capable of securing safety.
SOLUTION: In SBW_ECU of this steering gear for a vehicle, any abnormality of a two-system steering control system (a steering motor, a rotation angle sensor, and a current sensor) is detected to output abnormality detecting information in Step S101. When the abnormality detecting information is outputted, vehicle speed limiting information for limiting a vehicle speed to not more than a predetermined low speed is outputted to ENG_ECU in Step S105. Thereby, when any of the two-system steering control system (the steering motor, the rotation angle sensor, and the current sensor) is malfunctioning, the vehicle speed limiting information for limiting the vehicle speed to not more than a predetermined low speed is outputted to the ENG_ECU controlling the generation of a driving force of the vehicle, so that the ENG_ECU receiving such vehicle speed limiting information limits the generation of the driving force in order to make the vehicle speed not more than a predetermined low speed.
