Title:
STEERING LOCK DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3143785
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items by seamlessly integrating a cam driving part and an engaging pin part to engage with an engaging recessed part of a steering shaft of a lock pin.
SOLUTION: A lock mechanism 16 slidingly moves a lock pin 39 held by a housing 11 of a steering lock device, and switches an engaging pin part 39a to a lock condition of preventing rotation of a shaft 17 by engaging with an engaging recessed part 38 of the steering shaft 17 and a lock release condition of making the shaft 17 rotatable by releasing engagement. A contact surface 49 to come into contact with a cam 48 is formed in a through hole 47 arranged in a cam driven part 39b, and when a rotor is put in a ROCK position, the cam 48 rotates so that the lock pin 39 is engaged with a recessed part 38 by a spring 46. Next, in the lock pin 39, a pin part 39a and a driven part 39b are seamlessly and integrally molded in a plate shape by press molding or the like. Therefore, since the cam driven part fulfills a function of a slider, the number of part items and installing time can be reduced, and the lock pin can be easily manufactured.
