In this automatically running cart, a steering gear box 98 is provided for switching between steering by a steering wheel and a steering by a steering motor Mo. The steering gear box 98 is provided with an automatic and manual switch mechanism for switching between manual steering and automatic steering, and a switch sensor 100 which is operated interlocked with this automatic and manual switch mechanism. Mechanical switching in the steering gear box 98 with this automatic and manual switch mechanism, as well as electric switching in a main controller with signals from the switch sensor 100 can be performed simultaneously.
