Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an observer's fatigue feeling, also reduce an operation amount and the make this device small and light in weight by converting similarity that when the difference of left and right images into distance when a sight axis of both eyes is parallelly placed and making it shift width of the left image.
SOLUTION: A distance converting part 740 replaces a signal 501 that shows similarity with distance data. A shift width calculating part 750 operates left shift width from an output signal 741 of the part 740 and a signal 601 from a line of sight detecting part and outputs it to a read address generating part 722. The part 722 generates a read address 7212 of frame memory 732 based on an output signal of the part 780, outputs it to the memory 732 and performs a read operation. Selectors 761 and 762 selectively fetch outputs from frame memory 731 and 732 and sends them as an output signal of an image working part 700, i.e,. left and right image data 701 and 702 to an image display part. The display image becomes an image that is shifted to the left and right so that congestion and optical system visibility of a left image may be in a matched state.
