In the image forming apparatus, a chromatic toner containing an adjuvant and a transparent toner or a white toner containing a foaming agent that foams by the adjuvant are held in separated developing devices to form toner images on an image carrier. The image forming apparatus is characterized in that a foaming phenomenon does not occur until the adjuvant of the chromatic toner reacts with the foaming agent in the transparent toner or the white toner in a fixing process, forming a stereoscopic permanent toner image on a transfer paper.
