Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A 17α-(3'-hydroxypropyl)-androsta-4,6-dien-17β-ol-3-onalkyl-ene acetal shown by the formula I [Z is group shown by the formula II (A is H or methyl x is 0.1)].
USE: An intermediate for producing 1,2α-methylene-6,7α-difluoromethylene-20- spirox-4-en-3-one useful as a remedy for hyperandrogeninosis such as pimple, etc.
PREPARATION: The carbonyl group of 20-spirox-4,6-diene-3,21-dione at the 3-position is reacted with an acetalizing agent, to give 20-spirox-4,6-dien-3,21-dion-3- alkylenacetal. This compound is reduced with LiAlH4.
