To bring efficiency to a processing by a reproducing device by selecting an image as required and applying processing to the selected image in the processing by the reproducing device side.
In the still video camera where an imaging device converts an optical image of an object obtained by an optical lens into an electric image signal, an analog/digital converter applies analog/digital conversion to the electric image signal to obtain a digital image signal and a memory stores the digital image signal, information with respect to storage addresses of the digital image signals for one image is stored in prescribed areas in the memory in cross-reference with the photographing sequence. Thus, in the processing by the reproducing device, it is possible to select an image as required and to apply processing to the image and the processing by the reproducing device can be made efficient.
