PURPOSE: To grasp the momentary change of the total stock at the factory side by calculating and updating the total stock of a store every time the com modities are carried out and read in a POS system.
CONSTITUTION: A POS system 8 reads a commodity name 8a added to a price card at each sales time point and sends the name 8a and the sales number 8b of the corresponding commodities to a controller 1. A processing worker inputs a completed commodity name 6a and the completed commodity number 6b to an optical reading device 6 at each commodity carry-out time point. The device 6 sends the name 6a and the number 6b to the controller 1. The total stock of the store calculated by the controller 1 is displayed to the worker via a display device 3. A timer 9 reads the present time and a memory 20 stores the number of processed commodities and the number of sold commodities covering the store opening time through the present time. The communication equipments 4 and 5 perform the communication among the controller 1, the system 8, and the device 6.
